I had the opportunity to speak at London Environmental Network’s 11 August environmental networking event. There were about 70 people out to hear me speak about food waste generation in London, Ontario, some of my ongoing research and some tips on how to reduce food waste. These Londoners have a keen sense of the environment and are eager to minimize their environmental impact. On average London households throw out $600 worth of food annually, just in their household. This takes 0.6 acres to produce and results in over 300 meals per year being wasted….
